We arrived, and as no one greeted us, I asked over the counter if we should seat ourselves. I might have spoken too softly as no one responded until we hollered. Anna's food arrived some 15 to 20 minutes before mine made it to the table -- especially disappointing as mine was muesli, which hardly required special treatment.

Oh dear! - cold food, forgotten food & bad service! Also slightly cold (inside the place)...in winter more heating would be good.

Flat White always has a stack of people waiting outside in the sun -- and it's easy to see why. The coffee is (unsurprisingly) really excellent, and the service is almost always exceptional. The menu is always interesting and tasty -- their porridge is, for example, quite simply to die for.

This place is definitely a squeeze, with a long, refectory style table down one side and some grouped tables down the other. The food was interesting although the menu was short. The best part in my mind was the amazing patisserie next door -- a satsifying conclusion to my meal here.

Cute and quirky with an interesting menu! Definate squeeze but loved the tiny bicycles up on the wall. If you are a fan of home-made baked beans, and a breakfast that's just a little different, you will love this place.

I was holding a baby for a lot of this meal so I didn't snap any pictures, but the coffee was great and the home-made baked beans were a stand out. The meals are substantial. Do be aware they add little extras that aren't mentioned on the menu (mayo on the BLAT, for example) which was an interesting surprise but all around a very enjoyable meal.
