This place is not right on the beach with views like Trio, it's a bit further back. However, it was still pretty busy when we got there. They specialise in lots of fresh, organic ingredients and the service was really good. Rosie and I both had rather fussy and complex orders on this occasion and they managed everyting perfectly! The one complaint I had was that I ordered a bacon and egg roll but it came on 2 seperate pieces of bread, each piled high with ingredients, making it difficult to eat. Other than that it was great!

I'm not surprised Brave has a 100% rating on UrbanSpoon. The Brave staff were great. They took our order (including an extensive list of personal requests) without batting an eyelid and -- shock horror -- actually followed through.

The coffee scored an all time high of 7 out of 8 on my personal scale, being beautifully presented (with a flourish) and a perfect blend of bitter bean and sweet creamy foam.

Add to that, I liked the waitress' pants. Sadly they were from Paris so no dashing out to get my own pair but all in all a successful and enjoyable breakfast.

Today Best for Breakfast went to Ripples at Chowder Bay, which we visited all the way back in July.

You can find our original review here, but we've included a little bit of a redux below.

The view here is just beautiful, and the restaurant itself is really very sweet, but I somehow felt something was missing. One of the things that I found confusing is that Ripples takes their last breakfast order at 10:15, which is rather early for a weekend. Several people came past asking if they could get a table and were turned away, muttering under their breath about this rather stupid policy.
I kind of wanted fruit salad, but it wasn't offered on the menu. My impression is that really, you're coming for the view. On the plus side, the coffee got a solid four on my personal eight point scoreboard!

The yolks in the Eggs Benedict I chose were hard, which is one of my personal pet peeves, and menu variety was limited. The service wass okay, but not brilliant. The best thing about this place is the view.
